My Erasmus+ Internship Experience in Alicante

My name is Ana, and I come from Slovenia, more specifically from the beautiful city of Maribor. I am a student at Srednja elektro-računalniška šola (SERŠ), where I study in the field of electronics and computer science.

My Erasmus+ internship in Alicante was a really great experience that I will never forget. I was so excited to travel to Spain, see the beautiful city of Alicante, and learn what living in another country feels like. It was a great opportunity to step out of my comfort zone, try something new, and learn more about myself and the world around me.

One of the best parts of my internship was being able to work on things that I am genuinely interested in, especially repairing computers and other electronic devices, such as PS5 consoles. I really enjoyed learning how to identify problems, find solutions, and work with different types of equipment. During the internship, I gained new practical skills, improved my technical knowledge, and discovered more about how this kind of work is carried out in a real professional environment.

Living with my classmates was also a very

important part of the journey. We spent a lot of time together, made awesome memories, and learned how to share a house. Staying away from my family taught me how to be more independent and manage everyday life on my own. I also loved walking around Alicante, checking out the nice streets, and exploring the area. Overall, my Erasmus+ experience was super educational and fun. I got real work experience, grew more independent, and made great memories with my friends. I am thankful for this chance, and I recommend doing an Erasmus+ internship with other students.

I would also like to thank Pura Vida Mobility for organising this Erasmus+ experience and supporting us throughout our stay in Alicante. Thanks to their help, everything was easier, from adapting to a new environment to enjoying our time abroad. Their support allowed us to focus on our internship, discover the local culture, and make the most of this opportunity. It was great to feel that we had someone to turn to whenever we needed help or information.

Overall, my Erasmus+ experience in Alicante was both educational and fun. I gained valuable work experience, developed new technical and personal skills, became more independent, and learned a lot about another culture. Most importantly, I made wonderful memories with my classmates that I will always remember.

I am very grateful to SERŠ and Pura Vida Mobility for making this experience possible. I would definitely recommend an Erasmus+ internship abroad to other students. It is a fantastic way to learn new things, improve your skills, meet new people, and experience an adventure that can make a real difference in your life. For me, Alicante will always be a special place, and I will remember this experience with a big smile!
